Years ago we moved to the Skagit Valley to pursue a slower, simpler and more intentional lifestyle for our little family. Tucked among the many vegetables in our garden was a double row of sweet peas that we planted in honor of my great grandmother. When the first flush of sweet peas bloomed, I shared some of the garden bounty with friends and family. Then the word got out and I was filling orders for every last flower I grew. Soon after, Floret was born. Now considered one of the nation’s top farmer-florist operations, Floret supplies flowers to specialty stores across the Pacific Northwest and our design studio creates garden-fresh bouquets for a limited number of weddings and special events. We recently expanded to offer on-farm workshops to train a new wave of farmers, designers and gardeners. Inspired by the seasonal flower renaissance, flower lovers from around the globe travel to our farm to learn the sustainable growing practices of small scale, high-intensity flower production.
In 2014, we began offering a carefully curated collection of garden-related products including seeds, bulbs, tools and growing resources. Their popularity with readers–combined with a desire to expand the availability of heirloom and hard-to-find varieties– propelled us to launch Floret Seeds, our own line of specialty flower seeds in early 2016. Included in the Floret line of seeds are dozens of different varieties including 30 sweet pea cultivars and all of our tried-and-true favorites from Floret’s flower fields. Floret Seeds feature unusual varieties, gorgeous custom color blends and perfect packet sizes to stock your cutting garden. We also offer 40+ dahlias tubers from our own certified organic stock, plus limited quantities of specialty anemones and ranunculus to flower lovers in the U.S.Not open to the public
