Garden Valley Ranch
Garden Valley Ranch is a 10-acre boutique ranch, specializing in roses for the floral trade and rose aficionados, with about 10,000 rose bushes and over 80 varietals. Garden Valley Ranch is one of the few growers in the United States to offer true and natural cut garden roses, grown in open fields, including very fragrant English-style, extraordinary Hybrid Tea and special Spray roses.
Uniquely romantic and charming, Garden Valley Ranch cultivates about 10,000 rosebushes for sale to the floral trade and rose enthusiasts. Our outdoor wedding and event site is set among fields of roses that bloom May through October. A dressing suite and restrooms are conveniently located close to the event site. We are also home to a koi pond, an intimate fragrant garden for strolling (or cocktail hour), and a small retail nursery specializing in roses.
Landscaped plantings feature roses on pergolas, columns, tree-climbers, arches and mixed in with local perennials, annuals and bulbs. Most of the buildings on the property are originals built in the 1880s, most notably the Carriage House. Other interesting buildings are the original train depot for the old Petaluma-Santa Rosa electric railway, the original belfry, the original bunk house (now the owner’s residence) and a cozy cottage.
We offer Experiences, small group workshops led by local guest designers and artists each month. Private experiences are available and we welcome Special Event bookings from intimate elopements, weddings, milestone celebrations, and corporate gatherings.
Garden Valley Ranch is located in Petaluma, well-known for its historic homes and buildings spared by the 1906 quake. Downtown Petaluma is great for antiquing and features a vibrant social and dining scene. Garden Valley Ranch is centrally located from many of Northern California’s best attractions: about 30 minutes from Sonoma wine country, about 30 minutes to Tomales Bay and Bodega Bay. Petaluma is serviced by 3 airports: San Francisco (SFO), Santa Rosa (STS) and Oakland (OAK).
